Madrid Guia

Madrid - introduction

Madrid, city of a thousand bars, the hard partying youth and exciting history is the capital of Spain and the largest city in the Iberian peninsular. Sitting abreast the river Manzanares between Castile and León and Castile-La Mancha, the city is of great cultural, political and economic importance. The Madrileños are hard working, hard partying and a lively group of people, who have been swelling in numbers year on year for the past century and are sure to welcome you into their city with smiles. Some parts of the city feel ultra modern, whilst others preserve their old charm with well kept historic neighbourhoods and streets. You find many a beautiful site amongst the spiralling metropolis of 5.1 million people and six hundred and seven square kilometres.
